THE WORLD
Power does not fall. It settles.
The world of Terra: Evolved is post-democratic — not by revolution, but by institutional drift. Democratic systems did not collapse. They became procedurally irrelevant as corporate structures absorbed their functions, one competency at a time.
Technology is present everywhere and questioned nowhere. Neural augmentation, private military contracting, underground parallel economies — none of it is remarkable. It is infrastructure. The people living inside it do not think of themselves as living in a broken world. They think of themselves as practical.
That is the condition the series examines: what human nature does when the systems around it have optimized for everything except it.
THE SERIES
Seven books. One formal decision.
Terra: Evolved is structured as four standalone novels followed by a closing trilogy. The scale moves from a single individual to interplanetary conflict — not as dramatic escalation, but as a structural consequence. The logic of the world, followed far enough, demands it.
Each book is written to function independently. The trilogy closes what the standalone novels set in motion.
